In 1999 after several years of breeding and raising horses we realized that we had outgrown our little wooden 2 stall barn. We decided to build a ‘cutting edge’ horse barn, measuring 50' x 70', with 6 custom stalls and ‘runner pens’. There was even an outdoor round pen with an electric walker. Even with all of that...it still seemed like something was missing. Although extremely passionate for horses, we finally realized deep down that it was horse POWER we preferred over actual horses!! We started pursuing this hidden passion, not really knowing why or what it had in store for the future!!
In 2004 our minds were made up, and even though we only had 2 or 3 old cars, the passion for horsepower was born. We sold off all the horses we owned and began our first of six additions to what would become the CAR BARN!!
The first addition was completely funded by the sale of the custom horse stalls, round pen and walker. Our dream took off from there! What started as a 50' x 70' horse barn blossomed into a 70' x 180' building. We had a mission that we did not yet fully understand, but knew it was going to be a place for people to come together. As the place grew, with our love for cars, so did our love of the wonderful things AND people that came with the passion!
Throughout our adventures we allowed numerous people to do functions such as company Christmas parties, graduation parties, photo shoots and even a few weddings. All the while people kept asking...’how much to rent this place’? Then an opportunity presented itself for us to come together with like minded car lovers and use our passion to help those less fortunate. It was now a place to raise awareness and money for organizations like Toys for Tots and small town tragedies. This became the true calling for the CAR BARN. And still, there was the question...’how much to rent this place’? Our answer was always the same...just cover the cost and treat it like your own.
After all these crazy ventures we even added a hot rod shop, that was later moved across the street and sold.
As time moved on, and expenses have grown, we have all decided to turn this magnificent place into a venue of it’s own. Now the CAR BARN Venue can be enjoyed by anyone and everyone, and still be part of something good in the world. After Covid caused the cancellation of many charitable events, this seemed the best way to keep giving back. All the while continuing to share our love of cars with others.
With this in mind, each time the CAR BARN is rented, a portion of the proceeds will go to a charity!! You can choose from one of our many benefactors or request one of your own.
